Added Polish for Good Company Club
This week we are delighted to add extra shine to Birmingham Hippodrome’s Good Company Club as Professional Polishing, a family-run stainless steel polishing company based in Smethwick, join our network of corporate members.
Managing Director Kirsty Davies-Chinnock has been one of our most regular participants at Leading Ladies, the business network for professional women that meet quarterly at the theatre; she was also the winner of the West Midlands Family Business Director category at this year’s Institute of Directors Annual Awards. On becoming Good Company Club members Kirsty said “In a family business the membership benefits all staff and is an extension of our proud support of the region.”
Celebrating its 30th anniversary during 2013, Professional Polishing, Kirsty and her fellow Directors were keen to offer something a little different to their staff, including the international interns they are hosting over the summer and a partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome seemed like the perfect opportunity!
A Good Company Club membership is ideal for a small business or start-up since it offers networking opportunities at the theatre as well as regular ticket offers for all staff, giving them the chance to see world-class performances of ballet and opera, smash-hit musicals or get the family along to the UK’s largest pantomime. It’s a chance to mix business with show business!
But Kirsty isn’t stopping at Good Company Club, on Friday 6 July she will be joining Hippodrome Development Trustees and other members of the city’s business community at a Dirty Dancing Master Class to raise vital funds for our Stage Appeal. Asked what had prompted her to sign up for the three-hour long Master Class that includes learning some of the moves, dialogue and songs from this iconic musical, Kirsty responded, “It was fabulous to receive an exclusive invitation to a unique and creative fundraising event. It makes raising money for a theatre I feel so passionate about so much more fun. It’s great to give something back and make new contacts in the business community at the same time. We can compare our footwork with the real thing when we see the show later in the evening!”
