Celebrating thirty years in business, Professional Polishing Services Ltd marked their anniversary by hosting a charity lunch at Carters of Moseley in aid of Help Harry Help Others.
The lunch was well attended by individuals who have made a difference to the Company – from those who gave a helping hand when the company started in 1983, to those who now form integral partnerships.
Managing Director, Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, explains the reason behind the concept; “We wanted our anniversary to be special – but in a way that benefited our community and became a celebration to help others. Everyone at PPS has been involved as our team alongside their family and friends generously gave up their time to makes PPS Help Harry help Others bracelets, and the Company donated funds to HHHO for each bracelet made and sent out to our partners – which ran into thousands!” PPS chose Carters of Moseley as they have close links with Brad Carter and Holly Jackson and they knew that Brad would create a fantastic menu for their guests on the day. Brad even managed to create a chocolate desert featuring edible stainless steel – celebrating not only PPS’s anniversary but also the Centenary of Harry Brearley’s discovery in Sheffield.
Georgie Moseley attended the lunch to share with the guests her vision for HHHO and the lunch raised over £1300, bringing the total raised so far by PPS for nearly £4000. “We really appreciate everyone’s generosity,” Kirsty said “and we look forward to supporting HHHO for the rest of our 30th year in business.”
The founders of PPS, Peter & Pauline Davies, were both incredibly touched by the efforts the team and their guests made to celebrate their legacy, and received awards celebrating their achievements as the Heart of PPS and the Inspiration of PPS. Peter Davies, Chairman said, “It was fantastic to see so many faces – old and new – from my career in the stainless steel industry which started in 1965. Manufacturing is seeing something of a revival within the UK and here at PPS we are continually intrigued and excited by new products and the potential for new finishes. Whilst our 30th anniversary has involved some looking back I am very excited for the future to see where Kirsty and her management team take PPS.”
