Professional Polishing Services Ltd have made no secret of their determination to continue their proud heritage of re-investment in new plant. With their first two new machines due into the UK this Autumn PPS were very proud to be the recipients of a Manufacturing Achievement Award, presented by Lord Digby Jones at a ceremony hosted by Made in the Midlands.
Their Managing Director, Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, said “It was a huge honour to be chosen for this award for our commitment to investment, not only in additional plant but also for our investment in people. The UK’s manufacturing base has to stand up and be counted and be proud that we are the backbone of the UK’s recovery.”
The most anticipated of the two new lines, and the bulk of their new investment, is an automatic multi-head mirror polishing and coating line. This gives additional capacity to service the increasing demand for reflective finishes, particularly the bespoke ‘UltraBright’, which is produced to consistently high gloss levels.
The new mirror polishing line will be the most sophisticated in the country and reinforces PPS’s commitment to optimize lead times to benefit the company’s customer base and service new markets.
Kirsty Davies-Chinnock said “2012 has been a fantastic year for PPS. We have pulled out all the stops to be able to facilitate a period of high growth and look forward to be able to expand with the benefit of the new plant in 2013.”
